Just would like the low down on the car.
What has been done, other than what I can see. Did you get rid of it for an issue it has/had? VIN: 0143127 It was originally a Canadian car, then came into the US via Idaho, then Washington state and then to Portland Oregon. Hyper Blue Metallic 2SS 1LE I am not out to "get" you, just like to know the history. Especially the AL Priority device. Thanks

I am not the former owner but I have an ALP system. Is there something I can help with?

Sure!!! I do not know what I have and the documentation, one page, leaves me in the dark. Is it parking sensors or is it radar detection? Seems like it is an older version. ![]() P.S.: It was not only about that, but history of the vehicle, anything done to it that cannot be seen, etc. |

An ALP is a laser jammer designed to confuse laser beam radars.
It won’t necessarily get you out of a speeding ticket (they have other ways to calculate visually) but you would stand a better chance of arguing against it in traffic court….not a great chance but better than a screen shot of a radar return. |

Assuming this is what is installed, is there any way to verify it works? Bought the car and drove it home 300 miles and never a peep from it, never saw any LEOs either. Looks to have 2 front sensors only and the beep control, no voice or Bluetooth. Last edited by 2018 Blue 1LE; 05-18-2025 at 02:05 PM. |

I’ve never owned one but I’ve known a few that had them. I think the sensors would flicker a series of red/green patterns at startup.
They used an app on their phone to update and get notifications on it. If it detected a cop a phone notification would tell them what was being used ahead of them. LiDAR or k band etc. The phones would pair to it via Bluetooth. You might check you possible Bluetooth connections on your phone to see if you can pick up any signals from the device with the car on. If you see it then the next logical step I would take is to locate an app that can help you operate it. There is a lot of info on the web from people who use them so that would be a good resource. Here is a good link to get started: https://www.alpriorityusa.com/assets...SetupGuide.pdf Last edited by RIPws6; 11-26-2024 at 09:51 PM. |

I think my version is too old for the app, no Bluetooth in the device. I did download the app and tried to connect to the device, but it never came up on the available device. Yes, when I power up the car there are beeps from the device. The buttons all work to navigate the menus. |
