02 sensor codes please help!!!!
Hey fam. So at vegas i went up the parking garage and hit the bottom of the car (at like 1-2mph) not hard but now i have the following codes popping up
P06DB, P0030, P0031,P0050, P0051, P0132, P0135, P0152, P0155, P0178, P0443. Drove the car from Vegas and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. Car drives fine. Just the Oil Pressure is a little higher. (Does not go past 50-55 PSI) any thoughts? I looked under and followed the wires and none seem to be burnt or pinched. Im so lost. |

im no professional diagnostic tech but i would lean on a common fuse or ground on this one. highly unlikely you destroyed 4 o2 sensors, a purge solenoid and a fuel quality sensor all at once. but it is very likely that all of those share a fuse.
purge solenoids and o2 heaters are usually key on power fed and pcm ground controlled. so you will see power on with the key on but when they are being told what to do the computer will provide the ground to complete the circuit. that completion could be a pulse width modulated ground, or a steady timed on, or a combination of either. simple test would be key on engine off, check for power on one of the two wires on the purge solenoid right on top of the intake, if you dont see power there. check your fuses for one that is blown. |

Just for your information, i looked up the wiring diagram at work. They all share a fuse. 15A labled "non walk o2" in the diagram. Im not sure what it will be labled in the fusebox. Also shares the power feed to the oil pressure control solenoid, DoD solenoids

thank you. I still haven't fixed this issue. I have replaced the o2 sensors and that didn't help. I just ordered 12630282 purge valve to see if that helps. I will look into the fuses. Question, what ground are you referring to?

FWIW, I was getting a bunch of random codes last year. None of it made sense as to why. Finally, I decided to clean my battery terminals and the codes never came back. These cars are very sensitive to battery voltage. If you haven't checked battery, I recommend doing that before spending a bunch of money.

I do not think this code pattern is random. Sounds like damage to O2 sensor wiring or fuse block. Rodent damage and corrosion due to water intrusion should be considered.
Maybe invest in one of those little inspection mirrors and/or get under the car to see what can't be viewed from up top. If this 2017 has the original battery I would check the voltage. Even consider replacing it if the voltage is fine. That would be 7 years on an AGM, which is pushing your luck in my book. |
