ZL1 computer updates

Hi,
I have a 2019 ZL1 and the Bluetooth plays up sometimes. Does the computer need to be updated to the latest firmware? If so how is it done?
Thanks. Anthony.

I have a 2023 ZL1 and I had an interesting issues with my phone and using the Android Play features in my car. What I discovered is, I often had my Wi-Fi turned on when in the car and when this was the case, I noticed it didn't have the Wi-Fi enabled on my phone. So... I think Wi-Fi might be key as well as Bluetooth.

Not sure if this fits your situation or not.

Man, that sucks, I didn't know GM shut them down there as well. The only place I was able to get OEM software updates has been the dealership.

If you can't find mechanics with access to GM's system locally, you could try to contact Gen5DIY or Chris White at WAMS and ask them about these upgrades.

The only place I found was corvette clinic only 5 minutes from my house. They were the first place to convert the C7 corvette to right hand drive.

A Corvette shop sounds like an excellent option, they should have access to all GM software updates across the board. Here's to hoping they can help you out

If they have the GM MDI tool, then they can flash the latest OS's into your car. A risky but viable option is to purchase the knock off MDI emulator Tools from China. You even get hacked software.

I've successfully used this emulator tool along with the software, installed on a VM so I could wipe the VM to get rid of any dangerous hidden software, and flashed the latest OS's to multiple corvettes. You just need to purchase a single VIN license from the GM website and you will have access.

Maybe take it to a Holden dealer if there is one near you

I would before I do anything else, delete and re-pair your blue tooth device(s). I wouldn't fool with the car unless you came in to a last resort and I really don't think that there's an update that you can just go and ask for, any where, any way. You don't make mention of some basic user level intervention before you want to update some software, is all.

Didn't think about it yesterday, but a couple years ago I took mine to the dealer for similar issues to see about an infotainment system update.
They had no idea what I was asking for and even an infotainment "specialist" was at a loss. That's what originally got me into seeing about replacing my 2017 infotainment system with a system from the newer models.
Then now this rebooting issue
