I must still be living in denial, because I simply cannot believe what's in the comments section under that video.

Not only do comments not call for the proper deterrents, which I won't repeat from those posting before me, but this "professional" and his ilk is almost glorified, as if this were some kind of achievement or respectable "job". If you are a 6th Gen. Camaro owner, you need to do this today.
Call GM customer service and demand an security Update 1-800 222-1020. Just like JLR did for it customers for new and older vehicles. I have. If they get enough complaints that might just help us out. Even with thousands spent on security prevention and a OBD Lock , Faraday pouch we get broken windows due to this issue being know via tiktok and internet.

My city was known forever as a cop town, many people in SoCal hated it and stayed away. Once upon a time it was the safest city in the USA. They’ve tried to change that image, they did a great job, now there’s crime everywhere.

This is no different than what is happening now with the fentanyl trade. These thieves are in no way educated or skilled, they are just benefiting from state sponsored theft from the proliferation of programming tools. In theory national automotive task force, which is a trade organization, would vet and only license pins for licensed locksmiths. They have found workarounds which wouldn't have been possible without all these things being reverse engineered and copied overseas. These overseas "states" don't mind the chaos they are creating.

Unfortunately we live in a society today where this kind of behavior is not appalled but glorified which is one of many reasons these people get away with this sort of stuff. Gone are the days when people respected the virtuous of ethics, hard work, workmanship, merit, achievement but rather today's society worships the status of victimhood, self entitlment and 'social equality' regardless of what any member of society contributes to the populous.

Jaguar Land Rover released a software update for their vehicles that prevents driving their vehicles without a key by disabling the security system and allowing the BCM to start the engine. Not sure if they also closed the key duplication loophole.
