I love the ZL1-1LE Look. i also love the convertible So I have been working on making my ZL1 Vert as close to looking like the 1LE that I can. this is what I Have so far and used all GM parts. And I know some of you wont agree with this but this is for me not you! But for those that are not against it what do you think?
I have the AI photo That I am trying to somewhat duplicate. (Minus the big wing in the back) Still looking for wheels. and will be doing suspension at some point

The amount of money you're going to put into it with the suspension. You're better off buying a real 1LE and coming out cheaper.

I am in my 60's and love the Vert. I find this is best as I'm getting older. the 1LE you can only get in a hard top so thats out and for now the Magride is nice.
I will be making this a project car over time

Roll Bar, Wheels, Suspension, Exhaust and because I live in California that's about all I can do without being flagged

Looking nice, here are some shots from GM for comparison in case you'd like. Sadly, the ZLE photo from them doesn't allow for satin mirrors. Did you get the full front end or piece together the parts?

Looks good! I'd suggest not try and "badging" it as a 1LE, that would undermined your hard work and effort !

I got the 2 grills upper and lower, Canards, and front splitter all GM.
I had to slit my bumper for the canards to fit like stock,
There are markings inside the bumper shows where to cut.
Other then that it was remove the original and replace with the 1LE

The Mirrors are covers for now. eventually I will go black.

I'd consider a larger wing if you go for the ZL1 1LE look. That tiny SS spoiler on the vert with the ZL1 1LE bits in the front makes the look very "front heavy" and unbalanced IMO. Maybe not the big OEM waaang, but at least give some thought to the ZL1 coupe spoiler or a blade/ducktail spoiler.

I do have a couple Camaro emblems that I may put on.
One is a panther emblem, the other is a regular Camaro emblem
but decided not to put them on (YET)

I am leaning more on the Panther emblem if I do But we will see

Yeah Hear ya. It has that damn camera which I can live without the rear view mirror camera but it also has the Antennas inside it.

With the ZLE wheels it will look proper. Might need a slight drop to give it some stance. Finally consider wrapping the convertible top cover matte black like the bonnet to create some menace at the rear.

No, I like what you're doing, don't get me wrong. I'm talking about the white convertible top cover just aft of the rear seats. Use the same wrap as the bonnet to extend the black out all the way to the boot/trunk. Just an idea, hope that's clear.

Is that a 1le conversion kit for the front bumber of a stock zl1? I want to remove my stock splitter and replace it with the 1le style minus the canards. Can you link where i can buy this conversion and will i need anything else?
