Are these wheel bearings damaged?

Hey everyone,

Getting ready to replace the front wheel bearings and hub on my 2017 SS. They arrived with slight dents/gouges on the back. Trying to decide if I should go through the hassle of exchanging them. Would this affect performance or safety at all?

I had a slight dent on the side and I was in a time crunch so I used them. Don’t think they had any issues but I got rid of the car shortly. Rock auto had sent me one correct one and one incorrect one so I did not want to return a “correct” one over the small dent since I had already had to return the one that wasn’t right plus didn’t have time.

It's just a dust cover. It will be fine.

Probably should have listened to you. But I reached out to the dealer I bought them from and asked them what they thought. They said they would send me new ones and to send the first ones back. Well I just got the new ones and feel like they are making much more noise than the others (don't think they even made noise). I can't check the first ones because I already sent them back.

Am I crazy or is this not right? Every video I've watched on the subject, the bearings are pretty much silent.

Thanks for everyone's help!

Just swapped both my rear at the end of March and just did the parent's Nissan a few weeks ago. Neither of them make that kind of noise.

Here's what I used. Paid like $150 for two of them.

Thanks…these ones are from GM (part 13552403 for the fronts) so not sure what’s going on here. That’s a similar price to what I paid too.

Sounds like a new bearing.
Swapped mine on my SS last year. I ordered Timken, because OEM wasn't available on rockauto. Paid like 110$ for 1x.
They made a similar noise.
