BTR 225 on 10 Speed SS Stock Converter

BTR 225 on 10 Speed SS stock converter

E85, CAI, and ported heads and the Exhaust Setup is 2inch KOOKS,stock mid pipe, Flowmaster American Thunder Axel backs with NPP.

Don’t see many people talk about this setup so I thought I’d share my experience.

Drives perfectly fine on the stock converter, jerks a tiny bit when slowing down but it’s barely worth mentioning and if you’re deciding between a stage 1 or 2 for drivability on a 10 speed get the stage 2 you won’t regret it.

Low to mid range is practically the same as it was before the Heads and Cam but top end is DRASTICALLY better.

Was dynod but it was over 100 degrees and the tuner only had one small fan on the car. Only made 464 whp but it’s definitely much higher than that.

I’m still running the stock Intake manifold and throttle body but that’s next on my list. Between the Lt2 and the Msd right now.

How the inside idle? I don't care for being rocked to hard inside the cabin

MSD will get you higher RPM's on the high end for sure. LT2 not as much, but my shifts are tuned for 6800-7100 rpms on the LT2. But my power band starts at 6300 soo. It will likely be different for the OP.

That Jerkiness you are feeling is because of the Torque Converter. Specifically the lock and unlock patterns, which can be changed in the tune. I had to have mine changed as well. My cam is a 220 cam so just a touch smaller than yours. Made it a easier on the street especially at low speed.

A question for you, my car is tuned to shift higher but it still looks like it shifts at normal RPS according to the gauge, does yours show a difference and move past redline?
