Rotofab .... I think?

I bought my zl1 second hand and while glancing through some pics the other day I noticed my intake is different than what I saw online. I think the airbox matches but it seems to use the stock intake elbow? Is this correct? Pic attached

Sorry for the messy engine bay, but it's my daily. Thanks!

That LOOKS like an LT1 Camaro/Firechicken elbow...

NOPE. That looks like a Magnuson elbow, if that's a oil separator line going to it.

Edit 2 - I stand corrected. It's been too long since I've notice a factory elbow. My apologies.

That is your factory intake elbow on a rotofab intake box. Some people have said that using the stock elbow has better thermal protection than the one that comes with the rotofab. I have no evidence either way, just what I read at some point. It also lookes like it needs to be pushed on more over that ridge on the air box

This is a stock elbow of my 2023 ZL1. It has a fitting to connect to the stock EVAP box.

So not a bad thing just needs to be fit properly.

Whatever thermal efficiency gained would likely be offset by the reduction in airflow from the accordion section.

Definitely a factory intake elbow on the RotoFab. I would try and find a RotoFab elbow to go with the intake. My RotoFab has never caused an issue. Maybe contact RotoFab and see if you can buy an elbow from them.

Email Rotofab and buy the parts you're missing. Jennifer is awesome to deal with and they'll ship you what you're missing in a day.

I had to do this after I bought a "complete" Rotofab CAI here on the forums, which was far, far from complete.

Thanks everyone for the input, reached out to rotofab. Plan to purchase the right part, maybe I'll actually clean the engine bay after that.
