Smile Yeti cooler in the trunk?

Hello afternoon all,

I'm shopping for a Yeti 35 cooler. Technically, it should fit in the Camaro trunk. but wanted to verify.

Anyone have one of these?

Thanks!
~ Sean

I have a Yeti 20, and just fits in, based on the width of the top, maybe a couple inches on each side. The 35 is a few inches wider on top, so it may fit, but hopefully someone can give a solid answer. It will be tight.

I have a Yeti 35 and can confirm it DOES NOT fit. It's too wide by about 2-3 inches and no matter what way you try to squeeze it in, it won't fit. The top of the yeti 35 is too wide.

Thank you kindly... Was afraid of that. Wanted a cooler for track days / camping.

Yeti makes a few options for other types... I'll keep shopping.

What do YOU use for track day water/food?

Like most stuff, I'm sure it fits in the trunk just fine. Getting it into the trunk is the problem. How about by putting the seats down? That's the secondary access for the trunk.

I just bought a small soft sided one from Costco for cheap. I wanted a hard sided one but so many were just on the cusp of fitting through the trunk opening I didn't want to risk it. I figured with a soft sided one I could finagle it if I had to. Went cheap because if I want a good cooler then I will get a full size one and not use my Camaro (e.g. if camping and needing to bring multiple days worth of stuff).

LOL, my wife won a Yeti cooler in a contest. WORST COOLER EVER!!! Latches are a joke, handles are a joke. Weight is a joke and worst of all? The lid doesn't stat open on it's own unless you hold it open.

But yeah! An awesome cooler for $300. But it was free so no complaints..................other than the lid doesn't stay open on it's own.

I am open to viable alternatives which are not igloo $5 coolers.

Sounded perfect,
Except they don't make the 20 anymore and it's replacement is taller for WINE bottles. *sigh

Yep, I always go back to the Coleman cooler I had for like 30 years. Didn’t keep ice from melting for two days but did do it for the 4 or 5 hours I actually needed it to.

My 45 Qrt Yeti would not fit in my trunk on my 2015 GT stang or the 2021 LT1.
But sure fits in a C6 or 7.

There is no way you'll get it past the front seats to even try that. But good idea lol

RTIC coolers are a less expensive alternative.
