Weird noise '23 1SS 1LE

So I got a question for you all. I started noticing a noise coming from the car when i accelerate. It sounds like a whine similar to a supercharger. I can hear it when I have the windows down and I hear it most when i start to drive like after a stop light. The car runs fine no other issues at all. I just never heard this sound when I had my other 18 1SS non 1LE. Any thoughts??

Check under the hood for surprises, maybe someone installed a Maggie or a Whipple for you overnight

Kidding aside, it could be the sound tube if you have one (do you?).

I hear a little whine on my 2SS 1LE when I accelerate hard next to a wall-like structure with the windows down. I assume it's just the intake viciously sucking in air .

I hear the same thing on my wife's 22 1LE. It got louder when I bought a mamo ptb and rotofab.

Check to see if your air box cover is all the way on, you might hear a slight bit of intake noise but not sure about a whistling.

Check your passenger seat...If your wife or girlfriend is there, try kicking them out of the car. The whine when you accelerate will probably go away!

I don't think it's the sound tube or the air intake. When the car idles you can't hear it. It's only when you press on the gas pedal. Going back to my old car stereo installation days, it sounds like alternator noise when you had a bad ground. I'm going to call my service guy at the dealership and have them take a listen.

Is it an auto or a manual? If it’s the A10, the whine noise is perfectly normal at low speeds.

Yes is the A10. I just never noticed the noise before, but I do hear it at low speeds the most.

some rear diff gear noise is expected and has a whiny quality to it. I would get under it and check the fluid level at the fill plug, just to be sure.

Update to my noise problem. Took it to the dealership and found out that it was the alternator. It was starting to shit the bed. I caught in time before it left me stranded. Covered under warranty now I'm a happy Camaro owner again.
