LT5 tb needs the adapter (or mounting holes elongated) to work on any LT1/2 manifold.

i ran a stock tb on my LT2 but i think the manifold needs to be ported to accept an LT5+ tb.

the car will need a tune to get the most out of it. might as well throw on a flex fuel sensor while you're at it if you don't have one already.

if it were mine to do over again i would just do a stock LT2 manifold and reuse the stock tb. i saw very little difference going from LT2/stock tb to msd/95. couple tenths of a second 60-130 at best. ymmv

Paired with a proper tune, it'll allow you to run ethanol (E85) for more power (40-50 extra hp), lower engine temperatures and cleaner combustion, at the cost of a 25% fuel economy hit.

Depending on the area you live in, ethanol may or may not be widely available, and it's typically priced 25-30% less than 93 octane gas, so still worth it overall even in terms of cost despite the worse fuel economy.

Just the kit is fine. Usually comes with the sensor, wiring, and the fuel hose with connections. Makes the kit pretty straightforward to install that way…just need to enable the tune afterwards.

Uh, the OP is building a bolt-on car, not a supercharged one. The gain from E85 on a bolt-on LT1 would be more like ~25 rwhp if his 93 tune is decent. Bolt-on car won't gain as much from the ethanol as the blower cars do.

If you are looking at Texas speed ($256), which is NOT modded. Why not order one from Rockauto for $187? You have to modify the intake on both, so I'd go cheaper. Just my 2 cents. Also go to ZZZperformance and get an adapter for the 95mm for $44

Just to make sure you're aware, you have to modify a few things on the LT2 to make it work. There's places that sell the intakes pre-modified if you're not sure what to do.

Also, def would consider flex fuel kit at the same time. I did flex fuel a few years back and now recently got an LT2 manifold. Now I gotta pay again for another tune after I get that installed. Holding off for now debating what else I want to throw on the car.

If you want a visual of what E85 can do, attached is my dyno graph. Green is CAI only, red is CAI and full exhaust, and blue is CAI, full exhaust, and E85. As you can see E85 had big gains everywhere.

Modify the intake how? And I will consider using those options for sure. If I got the intake, TB & the adaptor what else would I need?
