May sound odd, but:
How do you pull your Camaro with the low front splitter into your drive if you have a large lip at the entrance from the street on your driveway, without damaging the splitter??
Back in? make sure you are at an angle fronting in so the tire catches the lip first? |

the lip going into my garage will just kiss the bottom of my splitter if i dont crawl in. So I have just changed it to backing in now so it doesnt hit anything

I had a very steep driveway that would scrape and just kiss the belly pan or splitter and I could only get in the driveway by hitting it at a 90 degree angle. If I came at it from any angle the chassis being so stiff would lift one of the rears based on the direction and make the ABS and traction control go banana's with the tire off the ground.
In the end the minor scrape sounded 100x worse that it was. When I would exit the driveway I could do that in reverse at an angle and not upset the ABS/TCSm but still get a splitter scrape. But like I said it was underneath and not visible unless you were under the car looking at it. |

It would have been nice if GM put the lifts on the Camaro as they did with the Corvette.

Used to have a steep driveway that would always scrape the Corvettes. Drive in at an angle is the easiest fix.

I have to go at an angle, especially with the ZLE front splitter being so big. I do also back in, but I don't think that makes a difference because then you would just scrape at the end?

Might just have my dealer order me a new splitter right now to have on hand in case I ever sell it since production is ending. I’m assuming spare parts will become more and more difficult as the years go on.
I had swapped cars with another employee for the weekend. He got my AT4, I got his ERay. I noticed the safest way into my drive was to revers, but if I didn’t creep out, I’d catch the street on the outbound |

Back in, and on an angle as slow as possible. Even when pulling back out i have to go at an extreme angle to prevent the front from scraping.

Backing in isn’t an option for me due to my driveway being uphill, not straight with brick walls to the side and my car being a manual + I think it would just scrape when I leave my house going out forward. I bought a couple ramps from Amazon that I place down when I am pulling into my driveway and those have kept me from scraping the underside of my splitter. Got them for about $100. Need to see if I can back over them when leaving without the splitter scraping on them.

If my car had one I would put it in storage.
