Dex-Cool Options
My bottom tank is getting a little low, and I was wondering what people generally use for Dex-Cool.
Do you buy the AC Delco concentrate and dilute it yourself, or get the premix 50/50? I also saw Prestone makes a pre-mix Dex-Cool as well.

I use NAPA orange concentrate and dilute to 50/50 with DI water.

Better question is why would it be low. It's a closed system and should not be using or leaking any. My 2016 never used a drop. You might pressure test the system.

It’s perfectly normal for the bottom tank to get low at times. I believe it states this somewhere in the manual. My 2016 would get low every once in awhile. The top tank always stayed full.

Thanks for the options. I figured most would use something other than AC Delco. I'm not worried that the car is "losing coolant" when it's just getting below the line, but I obviously don't want to let it go either.

I agree with you. I added some to my v6 between 25-30 k miles. Now at 55k miles the bottom tank has dropped a little below the book, not really enough to add.
