Considering Side Skirts, A Couple Questions
I'm considering picking up a set of the EOS ZL1-style side skirts and I'd like to get some input from people who have added them.
1) What's your experience with the fitment? I have read quite a bit and I've seen both a lot of positive AND a lot of negative reviews about these. Any shared experiences are appreciated. 2) I'm wondering whether the standard matte finish black plastic ones will clash with the 1LE satin black parts. I know it won't match exactly but I can't really tell if the difference is actually noticeable or not. 3) Did anyone notice if the sides of their car actually stay cleaner? I've never owned a car that gets dirty faster along the lower half of the sides, no doubt because of the aggressive offset of the 1LE wheels. I'm already picking up the ZL1 rock guards. I'm just curious whether the side skirts will actually help keep road grime off the sides. Thanks

I may be wrong, but I believe my car has those side skirts but in hydro-dipped carbon fiber style instead. I don't really see rock chips but the area above the factory rear PPF (rear of the rockers) I have seen a chip or two.
Rubber from the tires definitely still makes its way onto the front end of the rocker. The fit looks very nice, only complaint I have with mine is the double sided tape is peeling. I have to reach out to them and see if it's ok to just replace it with 3М double-sided tape.

Good questions OP... I have been debating side skirts for a while now and have yet to pull the trigger. I have one question to add to yours. Do the side skirts make it more challenging getting in or out?

The "matte" finish is actually unfinished... It's raw ABS that has absolutely no coating of any kind on it. This is how I put them on my car.
The fitment is actually ok, but I spent a decent amount of time ensuring that they went on correctly. Mine still have no screws in them - tape only install. ![]() https://youtu.be/S_gmNJS1HyA https://youtu.be/lVVQUBYoj5Q https://youtu.be/JCtE-gw-fes |

I wouldn’t use tape only for sure. Satin black will not match the 1LE black front splitter or spoiler, if you stare at it. I have trouble trusting fitmint and durable construction from a company offering a fake carbon fiber option. You can’t beat $200 though if your on a budget. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
