2023 new ZL1-1LE drive or ship?

Dealer is 1100 miles away from me so with the factory tires would you ship it or drive it those 1100 miles? Difference price wise is around 600 dollars.

TIA
Mark

ship it, not that expensive and many different types of transport (covered and not covered). Also you may have transports going in that direction so it could save money if they have more clients needing transporting of vehicles.

It comes down to the weather with these track tires especially now with rain storms daily.
You'll burn up a lot of tread life with that trip not to mention exposing your brand new front to debris and rocks from dump trucks, etc on the freeway. I know I'm going to eventually get that but hopefully not in the first few hundred miles.
Many also say you should get/do the oil and diff at 500 miles.
Congratulations on your new car. What color, where are you in FL?

Have it shipped to your house. After you get it there will be plenty of time to drive it!

I'd have it shipped, but cars get damaged that way as well as I know from personal experience. With that being said, I'd hate driving a new ZL1 from the dealer to home. I'd be worry about rocks, tar, but more so road detours and road constructions that your not be able to avoid or plan around. Mine was only 99 miles away, I drove mine home. But 99 miles is a lot different then 1100 miles !

I drove my ZL1 non-1LE 1500 miles home and I feel mostly ok with that decision.

I think if I had a ZL1 1LE I'd probably want to ship it. But I don't think I'd want to daily one so that factors into it.

If you don’t ppf the bulges in your rear quarter panels before driving it you will be very unhappy. Until ppf ship it

If the dealer is 1100 miles north of you good chance it was delivered there on an open trailer.
