No more lag or hesitation
Hey guys, I'm new to the Camaro and first things first, I want to say this forum has been super helpful in many ways. I traded my 2017 auto Chevy SS (Sport Sedan) for a ZL1 M6 back in Feb. So far I love it, but I will say, I miss the space of the SS, but my heart needed back into a manual so here I am.
Anyway, after reading many posts here, I decided to spend a little money on a Soler Performance TB and I removed the rain/snow shield. I'm not sure which one made the better improvement, but now, take off is much smoother and 6th gear going 50-55 (flat Michigan roads) is much smoother. Before those two mods, I would have to be 60 plus to get into 6th gear. And I think I picked up about 1.5-2 MPG, according to my gas app that I use. I know I didn't buy this car for fuel mileage, and my driving habits are very spirited, so to pick up 1.5 to 2 MPG was quit surprising. In fact, this car does just a little better than my SS, which had a few mods. |

I have the Vitesse Throttle Controller on my 2017 Corvette Grand Sport and had same on my previous 2013 Corvette. Night and day difference in response from stock.
For whatever reasons, my ZL1 has instant throttle response so no need for one on it.
