LT4 1.7 Supercharger Installed 821/794

The LT4 1.7 is freshly installed! Even has the wrapper is still on. Lol

Dyno sometime this week. Waiting for a few more parts before start up. Brake booster line and a few 90 degree elbows. The fuel system will limit the numbers, thinking around 730 RWHP. That’s a good jump from 525 RWHP NA. Only had the extra cash to port the snout and yes I know I have just solved only one blockage on SC, main unit will be ported in the upcoming winter. Will be running only 93 till upgrade to support E50.

Meth unit is on now with the 1.7. To increase numbers I think I will need something to support the low side so the high side does starve. Any recommendations? Big injectors ? What kind?

Still might add the nitrous since I still have all the parts. This has been a journey to this point. But what a hobby and a blast, non car people don’t understand our addiction. Just thinking from 400 RWHP to around 700 RWHP will be totally fun.

This is a nice “re-boot” from your original nitrous setup. I liked your other Camaro a lot but this one is even better.

Thanks for the kind words. It’s a journey in trying different mods and finding what actually suits the driver and the car. Everyone is different and has different goals on this site which makes it so good to be part of the community. I would say I have learned a lot with this build and one thing that I take away is do your own thing and keep plugging away at it. I did a lot of one step forward and two steps back. The journey never ends in mods.

So first, the obligatory “you’re low on coolant” comment…

What do you have lined up for fueling so far? Happy to give you suggestions once I know where you’re at now and the power level you’re looking for. KingLT1 is awesome at that too… I swear he has a cheat sheet with all the fueling limitations on it.

I basically have just done what a ZL1 has.
* stock ZL1 injectors
* LT4 high side fuel pump
* car has the low side fuel pump (1LE)
* Cam Specs: +32% Fuel Lobe: 231/240, .645/.635, 113 LSA, 109 ICL

Not sure the best route to go from here. Power level after getting main SC ported I would say goal is 850 RWHP.

Ok, good start. What are your goals for power? If it’s the low-mid 700 range, you can add a JMS voltage booster to the low side and probably be good at E50. But I don’t think you’d have a lot more left in it. So you can start there, and if you’re ready to jump up over 800 WHP you’re either looking at LPE or XDI injectors & HPFP (big bucks) or just better off adding TooHighPSI port injection. But either way you’ll have to beef up the low side. King mentioned a new in tank pump at SMG that can do 900+ WHP with a single pump. If you want 1K+ WHP then just do the Fore Triple like I did and get it over with. But it’s all about your power goals. Edit: oops, you must have added your 850 WHP power goal afterwards lol. But my post still covers that.

Thanks man for the info. Yes I edited the power level 850 goal. I think for the summer to be safe I just might add the JMS booster. Then save up for the big buck injectors over the winter along with porting the main SC unit. Never ends. Lol

Totally agree with Josh, add the Toohighpsi Port Injection, you'll get the correct injectors with that setup and add a considerable amount of rwhp. I think that's the most cost effective. Mike took his 2650 off and put his Lt4 blower back on with his PI on his C7 Z06 to get it to pass smog, he is really impressed on how it runs with the Port Injection. Looks like you really have a stellar package now, add the Port and bam your hauling some ass to hang in there with just about anything on the road. Go for it.

Looking into the Toohighpsi Port Injection. Found a good thread on it and see you have commented a lot on it Laynlo. I will have to digest this info. Thx

I would put a smaller cam in it.... stage 1 or 2 PDS. That EL C7 is too much for a little 1.7 blower. The 12.5 degrees of valve overlap is going to require a lot more blower rpm to make boost which is going to increase heat substantially.

Guy local put a GPI track attack cam in his forged 376 with a P1sc. It required a 3.6 pulley just to make 10-11psi and IAT's were pushing 180+ all the time.

The tuner and shop have pointed that out as well, we will have to play with the pulleys. That’s the problem from changing my mind from NA to SC. I am definitely not trying to make the fastest car around. Faster than stock, reliable, and as safe we can make it. Thanks for input King, more welcomed.

Nice build, almost exactly what I want to do one day. Did you have any issues with the LT4 fueling? I know some other members were having issues with their 2019+. Also wondering what trans you have? M6 or A10?

M6, the fuelling issues so far are pumps/injectors are max out. I will have to get better parts then what a ZL1 stock has to offer. JMS booster will help low side, but 52% injectors are needed. There are options and this is what the thread is about, helping me decide the route forward because I understand what I need to do but have no experience with all the different options. Big bore LF high side pump? So many ways to improve the fuelling. Cost?

I plan to enjoy the car this summer and address the fuelling issues in the wintertime.
