2025 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Last Call for the Brand’s ICE Muscle Cars? - According to a report by Car and Driver, before the Camaro goes all-electric, Chevrolet plans to give the legendary muscle car one last hurrah with a limited-production 2025 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. That is, if the company can squeeze production into a short time span.
Chevy is scheduled to end production of the internal-combustion Camaro by the end of 2024 to replace it with an electric version. The final fuel-powered Camaro will be built with a performance-oriented focus to celebrate the model’s track-focused forerunners. Think of it as the successor to the fifth-generation Z/28. Not many details have been released, but the expectation is for the 2025 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 to be a lean, mean racing machine. The report says the Camaro will drop weight, potentially by using more carbon fiber, removing sound deadening material, and executing a rear seat delete. It will run on GM's longitudinal-engine Alpha platform much like the current Z/28, and the chassis would include Multimatic spool-valve dampers, and Brembo carbon-ceramic rotors and calipers. Chevrolet will reportedly produce a predetermined production number of the 2025 Z/28, potentially limiting quantities to 1,000 models or less. That same picture had been floating around for years.
I don't see how it would be a 2025 when 2024 is the last year.... if it happens, it happens and if it does. Expect the car to go for $150k and more after dealer markups. |

Just wait till GM loses billions of dollars on cars that no one wants. But when the tree huggers are calling the shots. I’m sure they will follow like sheep.
