Exhaust question
Which would be louder?
AWE touring catback or just deleting the secondary cats? |

I think that depends on long term goals.
IF... you had plans to go long tubes headers... then is would keep the stock cat back. Reason is that go HF cats or NO cats with anything but stock cat-back is wayyyy too loud IMO. IF... you plan to keep the stock headers / cats in place, then i would go AWE.

I just installed the AWE axel back touring a few days ago and it sounds incredible. Cold start is about twice as loud as stock. Just cruising there’s zero drone and WOT is raucous. I can’t imagine why anyone would want the track edition. Get the touring and don’t look back. The black tips are on back order so they send the chrome with the option of getting black when they come in or getting a credit. Not a huge fan of the chrome look. .

Agree if you are going Long Tube headers your secondary CATs will be deleted. I would just go AWE until you make that next step!

I had lots of sound compliments on the AWE Touring AB on my 1LE. Loud but not overly aggressive, refined, it was very nice, no drone with their muffler tech.

For those that have the WE Track edition Exhaust + Cat delete Link pipes, how loud is it compared to the AWE Touring, Corsa Extreme or Borla Attack?

Interesting to read that those with ZL1's seem to run the AWE and those with the LT1 will run the others (Borla, Corsa, AWE etc...)

AWE Touring with resonators is absolutely perfect for me. Nice deep tone and no drone.

I’m seriously thinking about the Stainless Works cat back Legend series for my ZL1. Just don’t want to spend the money on one now.

AWE touring catback will be louder than just removing the secondary cats and sound better too.
