Something like this? Or did you mean just a table with max speeds in each gear, or...?

https://www.automobile-catalog.com/p...e_6-speed.html

NOTE: unfortunately the speeds quoted above are for the SS, not the ZL1 . I've removed the screenshot but left the link here in case someone is still interested in the data.

Thank you! and yes, a table with max speed at gear.

I know listen to the car... but on downshifts it is good to know how far down I can go.

This table is wrong. ZL1 goes to 62mph on first gear. Ask me how I know.

Hmm, you guys are right, it seems the site erroneously spec'd the SS TR6060 gear ratios for the ZL1. I've just recalculated and the M6 ZL1 can indeed do 61.54 mph in first gear (inaccuracies suck). I'll edit my post.

I use the same website year ago an it was fine. They did show 62, but now something happened and its wrong...

There goes your "stick shift theft insurance", if they can pull away in first gear (with a burnout), they never need to use the clutch again

Checks out. Theoretical 62ish, while this guy just enjoy driving. No point in hitting that rev limiter

EDIT: Just checked - 62 is what I get if I keep it on rev limiter.

Here's the gearing and speed relationship for your ZL1 Convertible M6 with 3.73 differential and 305/30-20 SC3 tires. Convertible stock tune has the speed limiter at 155 instead of 206 like the ZL1 Coupe has.

1st gear 2.289= 60.74mph@6500rpm=9.35mph/1000rpm
2nd gear 1.611= 86.31mph@6500rpm=13.28mph/1000rpm
3rd gear 1.208=115.10mph@6500rpm=17.71mph/1000rpm
4th gear 1.000=139.04mph@6500rpm=21.39mph/1000rpm
5th gear 0.818=155.00mph@5927rpm=26.15mph/1000rpm
6th gear 0.536=155.00mph@3884rpm=39.91mph/1000rpm

The mph/1000rpm allows you to calculate what downshifting at a certain speed would do. Example, if you were going 60mph in 6th gear, loafing at just 1503rpm, and you downshifted to 2nd gear, it would then be revving at 4518rpm.

Note on ZLE video, that car has shorter tires and a different 6th gear ratio than the normal ZL1, so not an exact match to your car.
