Can LT1 with Recaros Heat/Cool?
Couldn't find anything with a search. Does anyone know if you can get heat and air in the Recaros in an LT1? I previously had a 2SS, but am considering an LT1 with Recaros. I don't think the LT1 has the electrical/plumbing for heated/cooled seats, but thought I'd ask.
Cheers. |

Technically, NO trim levels have "cooled" seats (I genuinely wish they were available)... Only "ventilated" seats. On the coupes, you have a shot at circulating cooled air sitting near the floor, but on a 'vert, the feature does very little.

Thanks. Interesting re the kit; I figured the heating would be the easy part, not the ventilation. A vert kinda needs heated seats imho.

As a fellow vert owner, I respectfully disagree and say the ventilation does quite a lot vs. not having anything. I really like the ventilated Recaros. I certainly feel the cooling effect of the blown ambient air when you're all swassy-swacky after a day at the beach!!! And the spousal unit doesn't like it because she says it's too cold. Go figure. My non-Chevy-DD has a peltier-junction cooler that becomes too cold and makes my back stiff if I use it for too long. Would rather it be just ventilated. So there's a couple more opinions for ya. Also the heated steering wheel does more for my cool-weather topless driving enjoyment than the seat heaters. I'm sure a professional upholsterer can add heat (and/or cooling) to the seats for a few benjamins plus parts. |

That seems weird, are the seats different? or is it the wiring?

You'd need the factory controls in the dash+ the harness (I think).

Yes, it's on the dash of my RS. We love the air on with the top down when the sun is out. Also, in the winter heated seat are great. Ours has 3 setting on each. high mid. and low. The heat worked great coming back from AZ.
