Riverside blue is actually beautiful
I have to say of all the Camaro Colors I wanted Riverside blue the least I thought it looked plain and boring and was pretty disappointed the only 2SS near me was riverside blue, but seeing it in person is way different. The color sometimes even has a two tone effect with blue and a dark purple when indoors.
I wont even post pictures since it’s impossible to do the color justice but it is way better than I thought and is now one of my favorites. |

I was on the fence about ordering for about 1-2 years thinking supply would shore up but it never happend. I had the opportunity to buy an order cancellation 1LE in Wild Cherry which was an amazing color for Red, but I had just came out of an ND2 miata that was a similar color (Soul Red Crystal) and I always wanted a nice metallic blue.. If I had gone to the dealership that day, I probably would have bought it knowing myself. They were not charging markup (this was for a '22). It sold days later. I kind of regretted it when I found out the '23 went up in price, but I didnt like the Recaro seats being a wide body.
I always told myself I would order RSblue only until Rapid blue came out. I then found a ZL1 in rapid blue and went and looked at it in person (20k over sticker ) While its a nice color, it was just too attention getting for my personality. I also prefer metallic colors in general because the color changes in different lighting. In direct light the color shines, and in more diffused light the color is darker. Overall I'm satisfied with my decision and color, the only thing I sometimes thought about is maybe I should have extended my payments and bought a ZL1 that is until I went for a drive after my break in!

Riverside Blue was the color I wanted. I was open to a few different colors but many times pictures don't do colors much justice.

Online doesn’t do this color Justice for sure. Sometimes blue sometimes purple. I wanted rapid blue but this one was available and ended up with it. But def learned to love it.

I had the same situation. I owned a 1994 Camaro for 27 years, in Medium Patriot Red Metallic. Loved the color, and love the dark red of today's Camaro even more. But I always told myself that I wanted a metallic blue car someday. I drove a nice blue Cadillac as a loaner car for about a week, many years ago, and loved it. The plant manager at GM in Janesville WI told a coworker to order a convertible Camaro as a company car back in the late 90's (4th gen refresh). He let me pick the color scheme, I picked blue with a white top. This spring I finally decided that I wanted a newer 6th gen Camaro. At first I wanted a 16-18 in Hyper Blue, but didn't want to deal with the A8 shudder. Finally ended up buying a 2020 Riverside Blue 2SS. Any other color wasn't an option.

I looked at colors before buying my red one. Wanted to like the RSblue, if nothing else to get a blue car. Alas, I couldn't stand how dark it was (IMO not a good combo with the black accent pieces in 1LE trim) in many lighting situations and also the amount of purple present. I remember thinking that if they still had Hyper Blue that I likely would have happily been a blue customer. So I go and order Red Hot, which I will always like.....
But then they come out with Rapid Blue. Looks amazing in 1LE trim and is the color I probably would have jumped at had they made that in 2021. |

If I had not been able to get Red Hot Riverside Blue would have been my next choice.

Riverside Blue was my first color choice when I placed my order at my original dealership. When they never got an allocation, and I found another dealership that had one, I switched over to Rapid Blue when I placed the new order. Didn't really like Rapid Blue when I saw the first few pictures online, but then I started seeing some videos of it in the 1LE trim and it looked great. Took a chance and placed an order for it as I had never seen the color in person, but I couldn't be happier once it arrived. It is a fantastic color when paired with all the black accents of the 1LE package, and I don't think I'd have any other choice at this point (save Krypton Green, if that was still available - love that color with the 1LE package as well).

When I made the decision last year to buy a 2022 1LT I was absolutely sure Wild Cherry was the only color I would accept. I wasn't going to compromise on the color of what this car was going to be for me at my age.
Long story short, the car/color I wanted was not obtainable last winter unless you were willing to steal it from a parking lot in Michigan. Then I saw a Riverside Blue car (optioned perfectly and really well photographed) in a Denver showroom. Bought it and had it shipped to me that same week. The car is gorgeous and all of my friends and family love it. The only thing better than looking at it is...well, you know. |
