Cold fill inquiry
Hey everyone took the car out yesterday to the beach, after washing it this morning I noticed the coolant was a little low in the reservoir below the "cool line" , any suggestions on what coolant to use to top it off? Thanks for any help.

After reading my owners manual it seems the lower reservoir should be half full but it seems to be empty, does that lower tank get filled through the tube titled "dex-cool" in the rear? Thanks again for any help.

Yes. Fill the top reservoir to the line. Fill the bottom to the line (~1/2 way).

Thanks Josh I appreciate the reply, apparently that rear tube doesn't fill the front reservoir. so upon what I thought I was doing (filling the whole bottom reservoir) I was only filling the rear, so not it's full and after running the car to temp the front reservoir is starting too fill. is it pulling from the rear?

I understood what you said, I overfilled the small tube tho as I thought it was also connected to the front, turns out their not, but the front is slowly filling when the car was warmed up, is it pulling from the rear reservoir?

Just remember that each have their own filling ports. The top reservoir should be always nearly full and the bottom reservoir should always be filled half-way. |
