Breaking Traction 1st Gear
Just an observation...
If I roll out to about 15 in first and roll on the throttle pretty aggressively putting it to the floor, the rear end will get light and break traction around 4k - 4.5k. The 2011 I have is a manual with a CAI, headers, and a tune. It is not that big of a deal, just noticed it a few times and assumed there was some sand on the road. I did it again tonight leaving church and feel pretty sure the road was clean. I am running the stock P Zeros. Are they known for poor traction? Has anyone else noticed this happening on theirs? |

I love it when mine does that. My only engine/drivetrain mods are a CAI and 3:91's. It did it more with the stock Pirellis but still does it quite often with the Continentals I have on now.

Agree.
It is a good feelling when she floats a little bit. Going to have to give her a go from a dead stop one day and really light them up. I have owned her for two years now and never tried her from a stand still. I have always worried about popping an axle. |

Full clutch drop from a start I've only tried once and got out of it pretty quickly on account of the axle hop I was getting.

If I floor it at 55-60 both rear tires break loose.

Extreme cold conditions don’t help with traction either

Yeah, P Zero's are only rated down to 40 degrees.

Just wait till you go FI. Rolling the throttle in 3rd breaks loose still at 100 plus. Makes it hard to street tune WOT.

In the always above 85 degree Gulf Coast summers I don't even try to burn out on pzero's cause they hook up too good. As soon as temps get 60 or below I make up for lost time.
