Looking for a deeper tone. Which is the best one to get? Just axleback. Thanks

I just picked up the MBRP axleback, because I wanted it louder and didnt want to spend a fortune. The kit looks good. I'll have to see how it sounds, but the clips online made it sound good

AWE Touring. I think it's the best sounding exhaust for the Camaro.

I chise the black MBRP, basically a muffler delete w a resonator for drone, its great.

AWE touring on my 18 1LE, that was great, too.

I def was not interested in dropping coin on an exhaust and ive had MBRP before on a 15 Mustang.

Im going to show you your future here. Are you ready?

You will get an axleback - and it will sound good. Later you will go hmmmm I want more power. What are the mods everyone gets. Then magically headers will end up on your list of first couple mods to start with.

Then once you get those magical headers installed, your ears are going to go $hit its WAY TOO LOUD now. Then you will start scrambling to get a quieter axleback to pair with those new headers.

And out in the distance long forgotten will be your NPP system that you abandoned. And you will long for the days when you still had it, and all the long walks you used to take down the highway with it. And you will wish you still had that wonderful suitcase of metal.

So your next move will be to post on all the FB groups and forums "Looking to trade xxxxxx axleback for your NPP plus cash". And everyone will laugh and stare and say no way man, straight up trade and you handle the swap or no deal. And you will be sad.

So knowing what your future is going to be already, my advice is the stock NPP is the only axleback you should consider. UNLESS, you truly are never going to get headers. If you do take the oh so common path like all others do, for the love of god keep that NPP system in your basement/garage where ever, so you can eventually put it back on which you will.

Take this free advice.

^^^ this man sure knows something

My approach was to paint the suitcase muffler matte black using high temp paint, and now it blends in very nicely The NPP is a great Jekyll and Hyde solution even when one has LT headers, it's much more modest with the valves closed and a brute with them open.

A bit raspier than, say, a Borla, true that, but overall still the best deal since it costs $0 having already bought the car.

I know you asked for a ZL1 but I was in the same boat with my SS 1LE and ended up ordering a Corsa. Installed it last week and I am very happy with my decision and would recommend it highly.
