What is this thing?
Hello, I was driving today and had a small rubber stopper (?) fall onto my feet from the driver side footwell. I can't figure out for the life of me where this is supposed to go or what it is supposed to do. Hoping that randomly someone else has had this happen or worked on the car enough to know.

I'll follow up with a couple photos from my old phone. As I recall, the piece is molded so it will only fit one way. Last edited by The Maverick; 12-07-2022 at 12:26 AM. |

Here are photos with the rubber bumper in place and removed. That thick tab that is facing upwards in your photo runs horizontally along the top end (which is in back of the rubber piece as depicted in my photo). There is a slot for that tab in the side of the pedal assembly which establishes the one-way orientation for the piece.
