Will I need spacers?
Bought a set of 5th gen wheels with winter tires as a winter set for my SS. Sizes below:
245/45ZR20 ET35 on 8" wheel 275/40ZR20 ET40 on 9" wheel Compared to SS sizes: 245/40ZR20 ET25 on 8.5" wheel 275/35ZR20 ET39 on 9.5" wheel Not worried about the height, might be better with traction control on overdrive in the winter anyway. More worried about front strut clearance with the change in offset. Should mention I am MRC as well. Last edited by brosmar1; 11-18-2022 at 09:10 PM. |

Tire size calculator says I am only half an inch closer to the strut, should be ok right? Especially since I am still on 245s?

I think your widths and offsets will be fine, but your outside tire diameters may be a problem. Those tires are almost 29" tall, and that may be too tall for clearance.

Well I guess we’ll see, no point in throwing away good tires if they can get me thru this season.
