Range AFM strange NPP interaction

Since installing the Range device 2 weeks ago occasionally when cold starting the exhaust valves will open up and sound like it was left in track mode. I make sure to set the engine tone to stealth every night for neighbors sake. If I want to get back into stealth mode I have to go into the menus select a different mode then select stealth. Seems like the car is trying to talk to the wrong set of valves. Has anyone else experienced this? Request a new module or just a consequence of not having AFM anymore? Thanks
