2023 ZL1 1LE Order Time Frame

Hi, I recently ordered a 2023 ZL1 1LE (CDBQQZ) dealership doesn’t really know what the wait times are looking like. I’m expecting a year + which is totally fine by me. I’m a huge Audi guy and recently also ordered a 2023 RS5 with exclusive interior/exterior which has a 2 year wait. Whatever comes in first is what I gonna go with. But what are y’all thinking the wait would be on the 2023 Camaro’s I do miss my V8 engines and I know they’re not gonna be around much longer.

That's the hardest model to get so my own experience and being on this forum and it's now October, you probably aren't going to get a 23. I had a 22 on order in Aug and I never got it. Two key things are when your dealer get's an allocation and even more important how many other orders that dealer has in front of yours. If they've got 5+ ZL1 1LE in front of you I'd say you won't get anything in MY23.

I have never seen what happened to 2022 orders happen before or after. 2023 orders have not seen the same issues, they are consistently being delivered 10-12 weeks after Chevy accepts the orders for production, this was NOT the case in 2022. In fact, MANY 2023 orders were delivered before 2022's.

Also, if he doesn't get a 2023, he likely wont get one at all as this is likely to be the last production year.

You're damn right about the allocation and place in line comments. That's the key and can't be overstated. You have to know where you stand on those two items, and a good dealership will know and communicate this to you.

Find a high volume dealer and get 1st or 2nd in line.

My dealer, whom I've had a ZL1 1LE order with since April, called me to say "we just got a ZL1 allocation, but no 1LE order spots have been open, do you want to switch to a regular ZL1 and get your car asap?" I declined as I only want a 1LE.

Not sure when or if I'll see my 1LE as the dealer is burning up the ZL1 allocation for another order.

Nationwide last month, only 27 ZLEs were produced.

Constraints continue to be a killer. Additionally, given GM’s company-wide constraint issues (No Blackwings, only 2-3% C8 Z06 w/Z07) apparently they are not concerned with fixing supply issues with outgoing 6th Gen. Speculation at the Dealer level is getting louder and louder that IF 6th Gen continues into 2024, it will be without ZL1.

My local dealer still has no ZL1 allocation.

Glad I found an unspoken for 2023 ZLE in transit to Jersey a month ago.

My 23 was accepted by GM in June (ordered 9-2021), went in to production on 7-5-22, and was delivered to the dealer on 9-26-22.
