Unallocated Sold Orders

I have been told all Unallocated Sold Orders are suspended for all the model lines except some Silverado models. I finally got my dealer to admit my order is an Unallocated Sold Order. Should I take my chances or try to go somewhere else that has allocations. The thought of never getting one is getting to me….😐

I did that and I found a dealer with an order already that’s almost ready for production code 3300.

I wouldn't take any chances. I would take your business elsewhere. You need to find the highest volume camaro dealer in your area or look through some of the threads on the same topic. You can look at each dealers in-stock/in-transit camaro VINs to see their order volume with GM. It can be skewed right now with some of the transportation issues but all dealers are facing the same problems. I would figure out the highest volume dealer and take your business there or one that has an open allocation. You also need to place your order without items that might be under a constraint if at all possible unless you are set on a 1LE or PDR. Good Luck..

Is there any way to verify this?

I guess I don't understand limiting yourself to one dealer.

I did that and it cost me the entire 2022 model year.

I smartened up when the '23 orders opened. Spoke to ~8 dealers. A few wanted a deposit to get in line for an allocation. I walked.

Most were happy to take an order with the understanding that there would be no deposit until there was an allocation. One required a little arm twisting but agreed.

I was fortunate enough that one of those got an allocation a week later (5/03). Car was built 7/20. Arrived at the (tiny) dealer 8/19.

Same thing happened to me for 2022. Learned my lesson for 2023. What's frustrating is that my car was built before yours, and it's still at the plant waiting for parts.
