What tires are you putting on your ILE?

With the weather getting cooler, what street tires will you guys be putting on your ZLE’s?

I have a used 2021 on the way with the factory Supercars still on it. Currently looking at Michelin PS All-Season ZP, but the closest size to factory for front would be 285’s.

Anyone have feedback on the MPAS or have recs for alternative All Season tires?

The PILOT SPORT ALL SEASON 4 ZP should do it in NYC area.

I run Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s on my Golf GTI and I love them. I had two sets of wheels prior to that with Indy 500s for the summer and Pirelli A/S for the winter. After my first couple rips on the Michelins I got rid of my summer set! They are that good! IMO.

They might not be quite as good compared to the GY SC3R, but I am positive they are the best performance all seasons money can buy. The Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 would be my second choice. They are said to be a bit better in snow than the Michelins, but I doubt you care about that!

Edit:
Just did a little searching and it looks like you’ll be out of luck with my suggestions if you stick with the 19”s. You have options with 20”s though. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Using TOYO R888R on my pro-charged Camaro.
No issue on 2nd and 3rd gear pull. Hooks really well only if hot. If tires are cold, its hard to keep it hook even in 3rd gear.

If you are using it as intended... sc3rs or 888rs (or some slick). If you just want to sit in a parking lot on the weekends... probably ps4s?

Just tried placing an order for the Michelin Pilot All Season ZP’s. Tire Rack emailed me saying they can’t release the order because the front tire fitment isn’t verified.

Anyone sure that 285’s fit the factory wheels correctly before I move forward on the purchase?

That’s about an inch less than the factory 305/30/19 in the front

285s are standard up front on a regular ZL1 and also an SS 1LE I believe

Edit: seems like the fitment isn’t the issue. Customer Service Rep said it’s about the axle/weight ratio. They’ll need to check if the front tires could bare the weight.

It'll hold up the weight. Depending on the car, a ZL1 1LE will have around 1050 to 1100 lbs for the front left and front right each.

The tires you want are rated for over 1400 lbs each.

285s will fit fine. You'll just have less grip than what the 305s can give.
