V8 Mid pipe Customization

I am trying to look this up but no luck so far

I have a 2021 SS with MBRP axle back and sec cats delete, I can't change out the mid-pipe cuz of the AFM valves, so I am wondering If I can cut out the stock X section and replace it with a true X or Borla resonator. Would it a different sound or better flow?

All you are doing is changing sound (tone) and volume (decibels). There is no "better flow" that you will be able to notice or measure. You having an automatic, I would guess the more you mess around with it, the worse your drone is going to be. From what I understand, the drone bothers some people so much that they replace the mid pipes with resonators.
As far as better flow is concerned, long tube headers and/or primary cat deletes are where the better flow can be measured.
