any anger inside when one gets their 2023 while you wait on your 2022 for 4 months?

any reasonable explanation on how this happens?

What do you want to happen? If 2023 cars are ready to ship, then ship them.

You got a 2023 instead of a 2022, shut up and be happy... It'll have a longer residual value...

My 2022 ZL1 was built May 18. Complete and confirmed not waiting for parts. As of yesterday still sitting at the Olds lot in Lansing. “Delayed Pending Dispatch” for 3 months. Tell me why 23’s are being shipped ahead of my car? Likely in a back row and with the “first in last out” curse.

I got a 2023 in August, before the configurator was even open.
That's absolutely wild.

I hope you all get your cars soon and GM gets their shit together.

I started a thread the other day asking the question if it matters if your order is marked as a sold unit or retail stock. LeonardS said that they put a letter "S" sticker on the windshield to designate sold units. My theory is that it DOES matter since he has received his (a '23). I've also noticed some others have posted pics of theirs getting delivered that also have the "S" sticker on the windshield. My salesman entered mine wrong as a retail stock order & the TPW keeps getting pushed back. So that's just my theory. Check & see if yours is marked as retail stock or retail sold.

if you've ordered a 2022 that has "fancy parts" on constraint or not available and someone that has a completed 2023 without "fancy parts" they will get their car first.

I specifically ordered a vehicle based on what I expected would not go on constraint while balancing what I wanted. As a result, mine was ready for shipping immediately after being built.

Many of us received 23’s in August. They started taking orders for 23’s on April 25th and they started building them the week of June 20th. That gave them plenty of time to deliver cars in July and August.

Was it entered as a Retail Sold order? If you ordered on April 27th, it had to be a 23. If the dealer ordered a 22 and entered it as Retail Stock, then you buying it after it was ordered wouldn’t make it show up as sold as far as GM is concerned. Retail Sold does matter vs Retail Stock.
