New Owner Question
Hey guys,
Just recently purchased my first Camaro. 2022 LT1. Wanted to see what I should should to get the most out of the car. I have been looking at a few exhaust options, exterior changes, but have no idea of what I should do. Tune? Suspension? Help out a 22 year old not make a dumb decision! |

Read through these threads, look at the pictures, see what is most important to you right away...visual or performance. Drive it, do you NEED more performance, and don't forget your warranty, you don't want to add something that will cancel your warranty.

What tires do you suggest?

I'm probably going to try and find a set of SS take offs for mine when it gets here. Drag radials on the back is always the first thing I do. Get used to the car and go from there.

Most will suggest Michelin PS4S or Goodyear SC3 for a max performance summer tire. I'm a believer that the PS4S is the best street tire available today. You'll need wider wheels to run, say, 305s rear and 285s front. Look at the SS 1LE wheel & tire sizing.
Popular wheel manufacturers: - Forgestar - Apex - BC Forged I bought my wheels from PK Auto Design. They're a sponsor here and were great to work with. I'd say keep the car mostly stock until the warranty ceases. If you want to do some light mods, Rotofab CAI and a catback / axleback of your choice. AWE, Borla & Corsa are all popular, but there are a lot of options out there.

Get PPF on the entire front of the car, here is what I did on my 2020 2SS... If you want to keep it nice, you need to do this (6,750+ miles, not a single rock chip...)

For performance mods, an e85 kit is a great first mod. Not expensive and easy to install but you will need to get it tuned. Other than that, just drive it and learn the car. |

Hey guys,
This might be a dumb question, but does anyone know why my dealership posted my 2022 Camaro SS for sale on their website? My eta is 8/5 and I already put a deposit down, my only question is why is it up for sale if I am going to be the one that is purchasing it? Thank you in advanced. |

Like others have mentioned keep it simple if you are worried about your warranty. Axle back and a CAI if you're so inclined. For me the best upgrade was the Katzkin leather kit. The original upholstery drove me nuts. That fabric must have been picked by someone who enjoys riding around on 80 grit. Maybe it wouldn't have bothered me when I was younger, but now I'm old and spoiled. I paid $900 for the kit, removed the seats myself, and paid a local shop $500 to swap on the leather. The difference in comfort is night and day.
