how to tell if my car has aux. oil cooler?

I have a 2020 v-6 car and the owners manual says it takes half quart more if it is equipped with an aux. oil cooler. How are you supposed to know that?

What is a "v-s car" and what is a "2020 ILS Camaro" (from your profile)???

Here is a link to a photo of the factory-option oil cooler for the V6. The oil cooler is mounted to the front driver's side of the engine.

On my 2021 this came as part of the Heavy-Duty Cooling and Braking Package, RPO code Y4Q. I believe the same cooler was also part of the 1LE package for the V6.

Thanks for the pic, would have never thought that was an oil cooler.

Really? That is "auxiliary" (optional?) That holds 1/2 quart of oil? Hmmm.....

No wonder my dipstick always reads 1/2 quart low after I do an oil change. I'll have to look for that. It never burns any oil between oil changes.

It doesn't look big enough to hold a 1/2 quart all by itself, but between the cooler, the additional plumbing, and 1/2 being an easy measure (?), I think that's how they got there!
