Convertible Wind Deflector

I have a question for the convertible owners here who have the GM/Chevy wind deflector. I was thinking of buying one, but I was wondering when it’s up if it blocks the view of the rear view mirror? And how is it for daily driving and use?

I have no problems seeing with it up. I keep it in mine all the time & it really cuts down on the wind in the front seats.

I do the same thing, it's up all the time. The best part is with the top down you can put thing under it, and they don't move. As you know the trunk is kind of a joke with the top down. If I do park it with stuff under the cover the top goes up. Yes, it nice and quiet with it up and I never drop it down. even with the top up. Seeing the mirror is no problem and at night if somebody has the brights, on behind you it knocks the glare down which is almost everybody because the car sits so low. It's also nice when cool out thee heat stays in. The radio goes up a notch. The only time the noise if much passing a semi. But then all you hear is the exhaust notes which is great.

110% recommend, and no probs to leave up all the time. ShopChevyParts.com did great for me.

Here's the full truth:

It does, technically, "interfere" with the view of the mirror. But, the actual impact is negligible. What it does it make the image just a tad darker as if you were looking through a window with a light tint on it.

I have absolutely zero visibility issues of any sort with it and mine is up all of the time.

Also, I happen to have a used one that is in very good condition if you are interested in making a purchase. There is zero damage to it anywhere and it has the zip-up case that it goes in as well. If you're interested, send me a PM and we can discuss.

100% they are awesome!
My back glass is tinted fairly dark, so when the top is up (rarely) it is a bit hard to see through the screen and the window. I simply reach back with my right hand and flip it down and then I just have to see out the tinted glass. With the top down it's barely noticeable in the mirror.
I can have phone convos with the bluetooth at 70MPH with my top down and the screen & side windows up, and the other person doesn't even know I'm driving with the top down!

It only impedes visibility slightly, but it’s negligible. As for benefits, my wife will actually ride in the car when the top is down. Thats really what they are for at the end of day. They pretty much exist to make women happy lol

As somebody already mentioned its like looking through a tinted window. I have had now issue. Even at night visibility is pretty good. If it does annoy you, its easy to just reach back and push down the screen so it lays flat until you need it.

If that's the case, there's something wrong with it. There's no way that it will fold down on its own.

when I first got mine I had that problem and realized the tubing was not pushed all the way into all the connectors making it out of square. I used a rubber mallet to persuade the connections to come together.
