Eagle F1 Supercar 3R Tire Wear and Track Time
This past Memorial Day I took a trip out to New Jersey Motorsports Park. Got bumped from Novice to Advanced in a single day. hahahahaha Started the day running a 1:46 and finished the day with a 1:33.
Things are finally starting to gel with the car and I must admit these tires are fantastic. I'm running the Track Camber and after 2 track days the wear looks good (front tire attached). In all fairness the first track day was a slower pace and the temps were cool due to rain. How many more days do you think I can get out of this tire at Advanced Group pace? Attached are some links to footage of a couple of sessions: My first Advanced Group Sessions following the Corvette Crew (Group was combined Intermediate and Advanced... hence the Train) : https://youtu.be/JH8nEz11g_Y Last session of the day where I recorded a Personal Best after learning from the Corvette guys hahaha :https://youtu.be/V3fvDAUzPg8 |

make sure to check the inside of the tires those seem to cord before the rest but most zl1 1le guys get 2-3 days out of a set and they are not cheap! about 2200$ on tire rack or so if you have usaa insurance you can get a discount on goodyear.com

I just bought a set of these as an upgrade from the SC3s. I am testing them out on track this weekend. I am hoping to get more than 2-3 days out of them but we will see.

The thing to watch with these tires is the inside shoulder. If you start with the low 24-26 psi recommended pressure and go 10/10th's right away, that shoulder gets destroyed pretty quick. It's best to do 2 or so lower speed laps to let the tires come up to temp first.
Otherwise that outer wear looks fantastic. If the car feels a little pushy mid-corner, I'd add more camber if possible or go one position stiffer on the rear sway bar.

If you have a square 305 set up and can rotate tires front to back, left to right. You MIGHT be able to get 3 track days on a set of tires. Depends on how hard you drive and how hot it is. Normal 325 and 305 on a zle will get 2 track days tops driving hard.

I just purchased the other day from tire rack. $1800 shipped. They have gone up -- last year I bought a set for just under $1700 shipped.
