zl1 engine build date question

So my 2018 zl1 has a build date of 11/2018. When I took the lid off today to check on if any oil was getting in there (had nothing else better to do I guess) when I took the lid off, and decided to take the plate/baffle off, saw it had the date 5/4/18 on it. Does that mean the engine was built in 5/18 and its possible im now in the oil pump failure date range? **I felt ALITTLE better being all the way at 11/18.

It is possible. As far as I know, the LT4 is built in Bowling Green and then transported over to Lansing Grand River for assembly, so there is a time gap, but 6 months looks excessive to me. What part did you see the date on? I think that may just be the manufacturing date of that part and not the assembly date for the entire engine. The oil pump may have been produced at another completely different date, too.

The date was on the underside of the lid itself. Under the "baffle" thats held on with the 5 T20 torn screws.
