For the convertible owners here, I once had to remove the trunk divider (cargo shade) in my convertible to fit some things. I put it back, but I keep getting a message saying “extend cargo shade before operating top” so I tried to readjust it but I keep getting the same message. I am wondering if someone experienced this before?

Double check that the right side is snapped firmly onto the pin - there's a magnetic sensor there that tells the car whether that divider is clipped in correctly (and to allow operation of the top) or not. Also check that the wiring to that sensor isn't damaged in any way.
