1LE Wing Question

Was the 1LE wing ever redesigned? I saw an eBay auction for one that claimed to be an OEM wing but stated "must have v2 design if vehicle is 2018+" or something to that effect. I know there was some questionable debate at one time about the 2017 trunk lid not having enough support for the 1LE wing and causing some bending of the trunk sheet metal at high downforce speeds but I've never heard of a newer design.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/162590062615

I normally would have wrote this off, but someone on this forum posted that they added an OEM 1LE wing to their ZL1 and the posts didn't line up properly, that the outer stanchions were slightly angled compared to the standard ZL1 wing that has the outer stanchions facing straight.

That got me wondering if there's any difference in these wings between some model years. Anyone know for sure?

This post comes to mind with regard to an issue with the fit. Is this what you recall reading?

Naa, that one is aftermarket. The one I read about was an OEM wing.

The 1LE wing supports sit at an angle where the non-1LE ZL1 spoilers supports are parallel with the car

That's what I've read somewhere but the bolt holes are still the same right?

Yes bolt holes are the same, but you will most likely have an outline of where the supports were

it could be talking about the trunk? I believe there was some reinforcement done to the trunk lid post-17?

Ive had one on my ZL1 for the past 3 1/2 years and have had zero issues. Also no marks from the prior spoiler, and my trunk has yet to fly off at 130mph. The toughest part was getting that damn 3M adhesive off the trunk and opening up my wallet wide enough to pull the cash out to pay for it.

I found a used one for $2800. I'm going to have the stanchions wrapped in carbon fiber wrap before I install it. Just waiting on my wrap guy to wrap it this week. Wish I could have found a Anderson Composites wing before they started manufacturing them incorrectly.
