1100 Reason: Constraints or No Allocation?

Hi Camaro6,

Quick question: is there a way of knowing if the reason for my order to be stuck at 1100 is because there are constraints in my order (3LT LGX)

I guess another way to rephrase my question is: if the dealer uses the allocation to place the order but there are constrains, will the status still show 1100?

Thank you everybody!

If they have allocation for your specific order details the order would move past 1100.
More then likely they only said they did to get you in to place the order.

I think the V6 has been the most heavily constrained thing the last year but not sure that that hasn't eased up. It's conceivable to get an allocation but not for YOUR car. Some people have reported that dealers state we have X allocation but you would have to modify this and that or just keep on waiting.
The dealer level info game is a minefield of double speak.

3LT/2SS trims have also been constrained for a while too. Not sure what it is, but some feature common to those trims has been constrained.

So does this mean that Chevy assigned allocations are technically constraint-free if they go through with an allocation? For example, I read about the PDR being constrained but if a dealership can order it and has an allocation that means it’s theoretically going to be built?

If that’s true, then constraints beyond general unavailability (like rear park assist) only apply to non allocated orders.

I wish Chevy or auto makers in general had a more transparent system in place for us buyers to actually know whats happening with our orders.
