Zle track alignment
Waiting on my car to be finished! From a vette tech at GM. question can the track alignment be done without setting the front camber to the track setting? Jus curious I hope he did it I want the front end lower. I was trying to explain it him not sure he got it. Welp will no soon

You can just look at the top of the struts to see if he adjusted the camber plates or not. But why would you trust the guy to do a track alignment if he can't even understand how to adjust the camber plate? I'd be more worried he has the left side of your car at the extreme low end of acceptable range and the right side at the extreme high end of the acceptable range since he seems to just know the bare minimum.

That picture isn't the ZLE track alignment... should be -2.7 camber up front for ZLE track.

That is not a track alignment.
First order is to turn the front struts 180' where it will show the track camber sign. Then the alignment can be corrected. Front camber needs to be -2.75 on both sides. Front Toe can be anything from 0 to 0.05 in.

If you don’t track the car, definitely don’t go -2+ on camber. You’ll just eat up the insides of your tires. I think the -1.5 he gave you is fine for street use. Just keep an eye on your tire wear.

I'm testing this right now. I've got a set of PS4S that came on the car with about 50% life left. I took down the tread depths before I did the exact manual track alignment and then I'm gonna check once the inside cords and see how badly it's worn on the inside vs the outside. Currently I have almost perfectly even wear throughout the tire.

That's what I've always been told which is why I'm running my current experiment. I wish I still had the alignment printout from my track toy C7. That car had around a -2.1 camber, but I don't remember the toe off the top of my head. That car for sure ate up the inside of the tires though.

Ok thanks BUT, I made an appointment for next Friday with 89x motorsports with the guru of zl1 1les who is at most of track events around with his cars. He's giving me a dual track alignment track/drag and installing the SPL lockout kit. Not sure how he's gonna set it up but I'm DEFINITELY CONFIDENT
