Order my LT1 this past Friday. Dealer had an allocation for 1 LT1. Status went to 2000 once order was entered. Based on this forum that doesn’t mean much. Still looking forward to following the car’s progress. Price is MSRP with no add ons.

Car ordered is a manual, Recaro, Dual mode, Tech Package, Sunroof, 6 piston, Satin black blade spoiler and splitter.

I also ordered an LT1 which went to 2000 when entered but a day earlier on Thur 3/17. Also a manual 6-speed with Tech Package and Sunroof. But the only option I got beyond that was the rear-lip decklid spoiler.

2000 actually means a lot. It's 1100 that most people are stuck in for a long time, as I was with my first dealer (since Dec 10th).

From what I can tell looking through other people's order histories, most people go from 2000 to having a TPW (Target Production Week) within a week or so, often even quicker.

Another one here, placed a deposit on an LT1 on 3/14, got notified on 3/17 that the order was accepted by GM, which I assume means 2000 status.

I REALLY loaded mine up (I’m leasing):

Satin steel with 6-speed manual
Tech package
NPP
Recaros
structura ambient lighting
Splash guards
Lowering springs/sway bars
RS package
Fancy floor mats

Was told I’d have a build date by the end of the month

That would mean a lot for me... Waiting in two orders in 1100. Two different cars, two different dealerships. Half a year one. 3 weeks on second which said they have allocation...

Glad to hear the positive comments on Status 2000. RegularJohn, I also ordered lowering suspension and swaybar upgrade. I realize I would come out cheaper doing aftermarket, but I wanted to see all performance options on my bill of sale. Tried to order Performance Air intake but it did not show up on the dealers option list.

You will love the color. Hopefully you will have better luck then me, I ordered a LT1 Orange Crush April 2021 and ended up getting cancelled and took delivery of 2022 LT1 in Vivid Orange in December 2022.

You made the right choice. The Chevrolet OEM lowering kit and sway bars were specifically developed for this car’s suspension geometry by in-house engineers, it will always be the best you can get for these cars.

The performance air intake is currently unavailable but it can always be installed later by the dealer. I got the same thing with mine, I’ll just get one when they’re available again.

Gutsy move, i was considering ordering just about the same spec and color.The Recaros and brakes are about 5.5k alone, i ended up going 1LE as it got me the mag ride wheels etc, but i love the look of the LT1 that's going to be one rare car!

Hard to beat a 1SS 1LE for what you get in the package and price.

I know I will love the color. My first Camaro back in 1985 was very close to Vivid Orange and always wanted another Camaro in a similar color.

interesting thread. So understanding any dealer can place an order and it shows 1100 status. So if a dealer that places an order says they have an allocation does it still go to 1100 first or does it go to 2000 (Placed Order.. Accepted by GM) immediately as op mentioned. Just curious to know that when a dealer says they have an allocation they actually do........

Yes, it'll always be 1100 first. It's like someone's shouting out an order at a restaurant. 2000 means a waiter actually came over and took the order back to the kitchen.

Sometimes it's just so brief (like this guys case) that it barely sits there.

I think some dealership's salesmen simply don't understand what "an allocation" means. It's not a "one size fits all" thing. They may have a 2SS allocation. Or a 1LT. Or an LT1. Or even a ZL1. But if you want something that they don't have a specific allocation for, they didn't LIE to you - its just not the one they had...

Thx for the explanation MightyBobo. Great tip asking what specific trim allocation they have when they mention they have one! So one other question on this topic. If a dealer says they have allocation matching your specified trim can they prove it to you on say a gm workbench screen. Asking as I'm inquiring at a few dealerships and they are saying allocation coming but I'll only deposit and place order if they truly do ( don't want to sit in a 1100 holding pattern for months on end).
