Was hoping to fly out there to pick up my car and check it out but doesn't seem the car will be finished. Sounds like a lot of fun, some big dogs out there with tons of horsepower

In the last day on social media, I'm seeing tons of random street races from this event...Do the cops/highway patrol in Texas not care about 1500hp cars doing 170mph past normal people? Seems crazy that no one gets arrested at these events

Oh they do and their cars get impounded now. Houston has cracked down pretty hard on street racing it's just that there is so many there you can't catch them all. With this being the last year for it being in Houston Raceway Park I expect all kinds of footage to come out.

I'll put it in a car hauler next year and avoid the temptations for such "digs"

Seriously! LOL around here, my rs3 on e85 is unbeatable, but you go to one of those types of races and you see where the really serious cars are

you talking about racing minivans on 680?

plenty of serious cars in the bay area.

For sure they're out there - I just don't ever encounter anything on my daily drives that's quicker than mid 10s
