ZL1 (non 1LE) Lowering Spring Question

I ordered H&R 1.25" drop lowering springs for my ZL1
It says it is for the ss/1le... I swore at the time I ordered it said it fit the ZL1 but now I can't find them on the website anymore
Has anyone run these?

https://www.phastekperformance.com/H...ings-50770.htm

Part number 50770 with H&R

I thought all 1le has magnetic ride, which in turn, also fit ZL1 magnetic ride
When I look at these springs compared to the RST PX1s for the ZL1, the rears look insanely different

Any help would be appreciated haha

I can't comment on those particular springs but those of us that do lower our ZL1s go with the Eibach pros.....they don't affect the magnaride at all and are a direct swap....if I were you i'd just return the wrong ones and go with something different. Just my 02 cents

I believe the 1LE does NOT have magnetic ride control.

The ZL1 does. The eibach springs i installed were a direct swap and compatible with the MRC.

I used the Eibach Pro Kit, its the perfect stance and doesn't interfere with the Magneride.

I would go with YYZ springs from Powell Racing. There is a ton of interesting data on the web regarding their development. Not your average spring!

When looking in to these, I only see 1 spring part number. Is that correct, is the same spring being used across the entire Camaro line are are there specific ZL1 springs like the Eibach?

Whole lotta marketing nonsense on those springs. They claim to be progressive, so are Eibachs. I get it though, small business got to do something to compete with the big business so they create a unique marketing angle that makes them sound better than their competitors with claims that can't be proven by anyone.

I do know the install is the same for the SS with MRC vs ZL1.

I am not 100%, but with Eibach it seems they both SS and ZL1 use the same springs. There is just less of a drop with ZL1 due to it being lower than the SS from GM. Maybe someone can comment.

I am running Eibach on my car and install was pretty straight forward. Very little ride quality difference. They claim 0.4" front and rear, but was a little lower on my car (which I definitely didn't mind).

And for kicks...

I am still trying to figure it out. The part numbers are different between SS and ZL1 springs.

Correct, Eibach has 2 part numbers between them. When I was digging into it before ordering a set and installing, I came to the assumption it possibly could be only for details on their site... So ZL1 owners know they only get a 0.4" drop and SS owners get XX" drop, things I read seem to point towards them being the same...

BUT totally a guess, I'd personally just call Eibach (if going with them) and inquire, if any difference it would be between Eibach's SS and ZL1 spring rates.

Thanks a lot man. I will call them and get it figured out in the future when I get my ZL1. Your logic makes sense, but when it clears one confusing thing it maybe creates another.
