Angry 2022 Camaro missing parts

Well after a long wait I got my Vert but the missed There Q.C. I got 2 red calipers and 2 silver. I also have bubbles on my satin black stripe. I was glad to get it after the time and waiting. But I really thing nobody is checking the cars going out the door. Now I have to wait to get the right parts in.

Wow! That's amazing that the car passed QC with two different color calipers. I would be upset too. I've only had my 22 1LE for a couple of weeks now, but overall I'm impressed with the quality of mine, including the paint and the hood wrap.

If you ordered a 2LT RS like it says below your avatar, then it's not supposed to have red rear calipers when you order the red caliper option. The red calipers are only for the FRONT on non-SS cars. What your car has is correct for an LT.

Bubbles are typical for winter installed vinyl. If they don't go away with warm weather or a heat gun, then it should be warrantied.

Wow! Who at Chevy came up with that. Are the rear brakes single piston calipers on the LT?

Yes, I forget the exact details, but it is something related to parking brake differences on the LT vs SS trims.

In that case you would think the Dealer would know and explain to the OP that the set up is correct. Still seems to me to be an odd option.

Nope I have the 595.00 for the red calipers and it's on my build sheet.

Don't know what to tell you. The order guide clearly states that it's for the front only. Even if you build it on Chevrolet.com it will show red on the front only. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but none of the LT cars ordered with the $595 red caliper option have or will come with red on the rear.

This is correct. I had a 2018 Hot wheels V6, and it had the red brembo in the front and stupid tiny normal calipers in the rear... LOL

Sorry you didn't get what you thought you were getting from the option. Still seems like to me its a strange set up with red calipers in the front and silver in the rear.

At each corner the LT brake system is different from the SS, which is the reason it may seem odd. The rear caliper on the $595 option is the same part number had someone not purchased the brake upgrade. It's the basic single piston that uses a bracket. I believe one of those rear calipers has an electronic park brake actuator as well. Having that standard rear caliper and bracket painted to match would drive a few additional part numbers into the assembly plant. It'd likely drive up the cost as well, and be somewhat prohibitive for a system that provides marginal benefit to the customer for the cost. The standard SS rear system uses different caliper (Brembo), rotor hoses and function of the park brake. Although the SS parts technically fit, using them on an LT would introduce option proliferation and build complexity during assembly. At some point the decision was likely made that a full upgrade on an LT to an SS system was not economically sustainable.

The LT opgrade option that the OP ordered does include 4 piston Brembos, however they are not the same as the SS Brembos. They are a smaller version that use a 12.6" rotor (a different, thicker rotor than the base LT 12.6" rotor). The SS standard front rotor is 13.6" diameter with a beefier 4 piston caliper. The LT's Brembo caliper design is common with the Cadillac ATS, and I presume it is intended to have desired clearance to smaller wheels offered on LTs and ATSs that aren't available on SSs.

I'd look into a caliper paint kit if you want the rears to match.

Amazing

Red on one side and silver on the other or was it front and rear?
