ZL1 1LE broken wheel repair

I cracked one of my front wheels on my ZLE, probably from running over berms at Buttonwillow. If it was a cheaper wheel, I'd just replace it, but I'm considering having it repaired. I'm a little worried though if that is safe.

I used the same company locally twice with great results. There is another in town the dealers use that recently repaired two more. Same great result. Usually about $125 to $150 per wheel.

To clarify:
I have not had a wheel repaired that was cracked. Only bent or cosmetic damage.

I had a cracked rear wheel on my 2017 Corvette Grand Sport 3 months ago. Wheel went into the metal recycling pile at Discount Tire. Would not attempt to fix crappy OEM GM cast (not forged) wheel. I bought another set of aftermarket Cray wheels, made by TSW.

Are the ZLE wheels prone to cracking? I've bent wheels on other cars that I've tracked but never actually cracked a wheel.

Make sure that they are going to do crack repair testing after it has been repaired. Simply welding and fixing the imperfection in the wheel is not a complete crack repair.

Why not just get a new set of rims like APEX or buy a replacement wheel (used)?

Apparently there is a nationwide shortage of OEM ZLE wheels. There are none on eBay, nothing on Craigslist (used a Craigslist search engine nationwide), none here on this site, none at the OEM used wheel suppliers. There actually was one on eBay but he wants $950 for a single front wheel with curb rash!

Yeah, I'm considering just buying an aftermarket set of wheels. I looked into the Apex wheels but I think with the ZLE and track camber settings there are clearance issues w/o using a spacer.

Apex ZLE rims have the exact same offset as OEM.

Check the FB camaro groups. I've seen them on sale more often than anywhere else. And yes APEX is definitely a great option. Their group buy for their new forged VS-5RS in 19" ZLE fitment is about to drop on Feb 10th i believe. Group buy is supposed to be $400-$500 off. Set of forged wheels under $3k with group buy is a great deal. APEX used my car in a photoshoot for these wheels. Post #31 in the below thread to see the 19" ZLE fitment on my car.
