Question regarding next upgrade...
I was looking to do the axle back exhaust and upgrade the fuel system to LT4 Fuel system.
My shop suggested I go with a Cam swap instead if I'm chasing more power. Honestly I wasn't chasing power just getting ready for supercharger later. That said, my shop said cam swaps pre-supercharger are pretty common for the fuel lobe. I expressed to my shop I had some concerns about the driveline if I go that route and then later supercharge that I might be reaching the limits of the driveline. Shop said they just built a 2021 Camaro SS with a stock driveline for 900 hp and only did a clutch swap. I guess I'm not sure what to think. From what I read on here I could reach my driveline limitations if I do a cam and then super. Where if I do just the super I should still be within tolerance. Maybe the information I read on here is outdated regarding the driveline?

I would do some good research before doing the cam. Cam swaps are much more expensive and much more involved than the LS platform. Not sure about your budget, but a cam swap is pricy when you pay for labor. I would be less worried about the drivetrain and more worried about the stock pistons and the very tight ring gaps. Unless you plan to build the engine, do the LT4 fuel system and keep the boost low. If you decide to do the cam anyway after that, it would be a good time to at least do drop in forged pistons. The drivetrain will last until you try to launch on sticky tires.

No reason to go LT4 fueling unless you plan to make more power than a cam will give you. The cam lobe will drive the pump harder and supply enough fuel. Driveline either. Those are both upgrades that can wait. A cam is a 5K job ish. Used to be 3 on LS based stuff. Like others have said, if you're going to boost the car, plan on the bottom end build. Take it from someone who had two holes in the side of their stock block at one point.......
Every penny you scrimp on will haunt you. Even some of the pennies you don't scrimp will haunt you. This is a high risk, high reward game you're entering. Best Wishes!

I would save money for a supercharger swap and call it done! More reliable in my opinion.

The other thing you need to realize is after you build the beast you have to feed it.
91/93 octane isn't going to cut it in a 11.5/1 motor with boost. The meth route is shaky which is why people are popping motors. IMO, the best bet is to go with ToHighPSI's port injection and run meth or high-octane fuel in that set up. Just remember there are 3 things to every engine build.... price, reliability, and horsepower. Pick which 2 you want..
