Hood Liner got TRASHED BY ME
Well I thought I would clean off the hood liner because it had some staining on it. So I hit with a high pressure washer at the wash place and I immediately damaged the surface of it.
So I took off the damaged liner which basically is held on with 8 PUSH PINS and ordered a new one. New one came in today at the GM dealer in a HUGE BOX that probably has to go in a pickup truck or large SUV if you had to take it back home. Fortunately I kind of knew this up front which is why I took off the damaged one immediately, so I just took the NEW one out of the box at the GM dealer and installed it there which took MAYBE 5 minutes.

From my local GM dealer part number 84378091 since I have a 2019 SS hood Cost roughly 75 bucks plus tax. They normally dont stock them but they shipped it from a regional warehouse and I picked it up from dealer

aww gotcha thanks ill have to stop by one day and order one mine is trashed from all the pay n spray car washes i use to do now i have my own garage so only gotta wash her after track days

Had the same issue when I ordered a new liner, was too big to fit in my daily driver, just took it out of the box and it fit fine

I took mine off and left it off. Looks better. Stays cleaner. I like to imagine it reduces weight and give me a little more sound. I am now one one billionth of a second faster at the drag strip and my car is half a decibel louder. Bam.
