Oil level sensor location and diagram

After a new motor install about 2 weeks, I got a low oil warning today and checked the dip stick and saw I was a little low (1/2 quart) but otherwise fine.

I put in the 1/2 quart and it still remains. I thought it was weird that the warning light would go on only a quart low (most vehicles I've ever had in the past need at least 1 full quart or typically more missing to throw the light) - And I checked the garage floor for leaks and didn't see any - So I started to get suspicious of the oil level sensor failing I did some internet searching and it looks like oil level sensors failing are somewhat common on the Gen6 Camaro.

However I was unable to find a diagram of where it's located and where the plug for the sensor goes.

Wondering how involved the job is. If anyone can point me to the diagram/pics/etc I'd appreciate it

The oil level sensor is located in the oil pan and would require oil pan removal to replace the level sensor. The sensor has an integral harness with a pass through that is mounted in the right side of the oil pan(near the starter). I would first verify the connector from the engine harness is fully seated into that pass through connector in the oil pan.
